I got challenged by Tonny and Maiju blogger to reply to these questions. I thought it would be nice to tell something about myself so here you are:
1. What is your first memory?
I think it is me being probably five years old and going to a daycare for a couple of hours per day. I always had ham sandwiches and orange juice drink as my snack. Tasty. I also was very fond of one of the boys in the daycare! ”My first love” 🙂
2. What is your biggest regret?
I try to live my life such as I would not regret anything. It has mostly worked but there are couple of things I have to admit I regret. The first one is that I did competitive gymnastics all my childhood and youngster years and I really missed out so many amazing things and experiences as I was always in the trainings.
Second one is that I studied theology as my major and did not go to med school as I planned for all my life. Due to my degree it took me for a long time to educate myself further and become more than just a humanities grad.
3. Where are you now?
I am now in London physically. Mentally I am in between motherhood and work. Emotionally I am between excitement and fear (this is because I decided to return to work and become a working mama!).
4. Where would you want to be now?
I would like to be on holidays at the beach under the sun somewhere in Queensland, Australia, probably in Port Douglas, to reflect my life. Returning to work after having a baby is scary so I feel I need some time for myself to re-evaluate everything.
5. What is your greatest accomplishment?
Healthy and happy small baby girl.
6. Where do you want to be in ten years time?
I have no idea, I never do. Probably somewhere in Europe like Switzerland. To live and work near Alps is the biggest dream of my husband and I. But as we always say we have only status updates, not fixed plans, ten year plans are not for us.
7. What is the favourite part of your body?
Arms. They are still muscly due to the artistic gymnastics I did all my life.
8. When did you meet your best friend?
There are two. One of them I met when I was only one year old and we met in the sandbox. We see seldom but when we do it feels like time has not passed. Other one of my best friends I met at the uni at the faculty of history and we have been like two peas in the pod ever since. She is my soul mate as crazy, moody, emotional and impulsive as I am, but honest, straight talking and reliable. My best buddy with whom I can cry and laugh anytime.
9. What is the best advice you’ve been given?
I don’t like advice. I like freedom. I am a free spirit. I want to decide about my own things. I think due to this personality trait people hardly ever try to give me advice. My own advice to myself is ”trust your instincts, be brave, take risks and the rest will follow”.
10. What is your guilty pleasure?
I am not a pleasure eater. I get satisfaction from other things. I love my own projects and there are always new projects -knitting, sewing, jewellery making, cooking etc. Finishing my projetcs gives me a lot of pleasure. Watching Sex and the City and imagining myself in New York with the Magnolia Bakery cupcake in my hand is one of my guilty pleasures. Sometimes when my baby is napping I do watch this crappy TV show to recharge my brain.
11. What is the one thing you want to do before you die?
Travel, travel and travel as much as I can. Everywhere.
